Global Development Needs Infrastructure to Improve Quality of Life

Berlin, 29-30 May: the Dialogue of Civilizations Research Institute (DOC RI) attended the T20 Global Solutions Summit.
During the T20 summit, the DOC RI´s Supervisory Board Chairman, Vladimir Yakunin, commented, “Development infrastructure is an essential element in providing human beings with the ability to change and develop as they want to. It is in this way that global development policies need to target improvements in quality of life.”
The Dialogue of Civilizations Research Institute was present during the two days of the summit, witnessing debates over inclusive global growth,  sustainable infrastructure, the digital economy, and social justice, which go in line with the DOC’s research agenda: “The methodology of dialogue is essential in order to structure a business plan for the global development of infrastructure that will solve pressing global problems,” said Yakunin.
The Think20 (T20) is a network of research institutes and think tanks from the G20 countries. The T20 provides research-based policy advice to the G20, and is mandated by the German G20 Presidency.
